Bihar Police Unravel Murder Mystery of Business Tycoon Gopal Khemka: Shocking Details Inside

Murder Case of Gopal Khemka Solved
Patna: On Tuesday, Bihar Police announced a breakthrough in the murder investigation of prominent businessman Gopal Khemka, attributing his violent death to a property dispute.
Authorities have apprehended two main suspects in connection with Khemka's murder: Umesh Yadav, the shooter, and Ashok Sahu, the mastermind behind the plot. In a related incident early this morning, Vikas, an associate of Umesh, was killed during an encounter with police in the Malsalami region.
Bihar's Director General of Police, Vinay Kumar, disclosed these findings during a press briefing in Patna. He stated that a specialized investigation team, in collaboration with the Special Task Force (STF), conducted a thorough inquiry into the circumstances surrounding Khemka's death.
The DGP revealed that Khemka's murder was orchestrated as a contract killing, with Umesh Yadav being promised Rs 4 lakh for the job.
"An advance payment of Rs 50,000 was made to him, with the remainder paid by Ashok Sahu the day after the murder," he explained.
During the interrogation, police recovered a significant cache of evidence, including 56 live cartridges, a 9 mm pistol, two magazines, and 14 bullets from a room on the first floor of a residence.
Additionally, the firearm used in Khemka's murder has been retrieved.
The motorcycle utilized in the crime, registered to Umesh Yadav, was also found. A search of his home yielded incriminating items, such as a helmet and mask that the shooter used to conceal his identity.
Umesh and Ashok had been acquaintances for approximately 1.5 years, having first met at a wedding.
According to police reports, Gopal Khemka had previously clashed with Ashok Sahu, who had threatened him during an earlier confrontation.
DGP Vinay Kumar noted that Ashok had previously attempted to orchestrate Khemka's murder by hiring a shooter, but that plan was unsuccessful.
Upon interrogation, Ashok Sahu admitted to the conspiracy, revealing that the motive stemmed from a rivalry over property and a dispute regarding the Bankipur club.
Gopal Khemka, who owned Magadh Hospital, one of the oldest private healthcare facilities in Bihar, was fatally shot on July 4 as he exited his vehicle near an apartment adjacent to his residence, the Panache Hotel, located in the upscale Gandhi Maidan area.
