The session involved a thorough examination of pending complaints and allegations at various departmental levels. The Minister instructed officials to prioritize and expedite the resolution of complaints received against them from members of the Lok Sabha, Rajya Sabha, State Assembly, and Legislative Council.

Addressing Public Concerns

Mr. Mishra emphasized that the issues raised by public representatives are closely linked to the expectations and problems of the citizens. Therefore, any unnecessary delays in addressing these complaints are unacceptable. He directed that a clear and effective Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) be established for resolving complaints, ensuring timely and transparent solutions for each case.

Fast-Tracking Investigations

The Minister instructed departmental officials to review all pending cases and ensure their swift resolution. He stated that the investigation process for complaints and allegations should be conducted in a fast-track mode, allowing for prompt and lawful action against any officials found guilty. He reiterated a zero-tolerance policy towards irregularities, corruption, and negligence within the department, making it clear that no misconduct would be tolerated.

Ensuring Fair Investigations

Mr. Mishra also mentioned that investigations into complaints should be conducted fairly, factually, and transparently. He noted that encouraging well-performing officials is also a crucial aspect of good governance.

Strengthening Governance

The Minister stated that quick resolution of complaints is essential for strengthening good governance, accountability, and transparency. To maintain public trust, the department must ensure accountability, timeliness, and sensitivity in its operations. He urged all officials to enhance the effectiveness of the grievance redressal system to meet the expectations of the public and elected representatives.

Housing Initiatives

Mr. Nitish Mishra announced that under the Pradhan Mantri Awas (Urban) Scheme 2.0, an approval of ₹262.37 crores has been granted for the second installment through SNA SPARSH for 200 beneficiary-based construction (BLC) projects in the state.
