Significant Pension Hike Announced by Bihar CM
In a major announcement before the Bihar elections, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar revealed on social media that the state government will enhance the monthly pension for widows, senior citizens, and individuals with disabilities. Starting from July, the pension amount will rise from ₹400 to ₹1,100. This increase aims to support approximately 1 crore 9 lakh 69 thousand 255 beneficiaries. The government has committed to ensuring that the revised pension is credited to the beneficiaries' accounts by the 10th of each month.
