Bihar By-Election: BJP Candidate Abhishek Sinha Withdraws Nomination

Discussions are intensifying regarding the by-election for the Bankipur assembly seat in Bihar. The BJP had previously selected Abhishek Sinha, also known as Bunty, as their candidate. However, in a surprising turn of events, he has decided to withdraw his nomination today. The reasons behind this unexpected decision have not yet been disclosed. Abhishek informed the state president, Sanjay Sarawagi, through a letter about his inability to contest the elections, citing family issues as the reason for his withdrawal. It is noteworthy that he had submitted his nomination just yesterday, on Thursday.

 

 

Later, during a press conference in Patna, Sinha shared details about his decision to step back from the by-election race. He expressed gratitude to the party leadership for the opportunity. According to reports from a news agency, Sinha stated that the BJP had nominated him as the NDA candidate for the Bankipur assembly constituency, and he is thankful to both the central and state leadership for their support. He humbly mentioned that due to family reasons, he would not be able to contest the assembly by-election but will continue to serve diligently as a party worker.
