A New Era of Digital Public Services

Bhubaneswar: On Wednesday, Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi introduced a new mobile application for e-registration, created by the Revenue department. During the launch, he emphasized that this app marks a pivotal advancement in the state’s initiative to provide digital public services. The application enables users to schedule appointments, acquire certified copies, and retrieve encumbrance certificates (EC) for registration deeds directly from their Android devices. Furthermore, users can check land benchmark values and gather comprehensive details about their local Sub-Registrar’s office through the app. Majhi highlighted that this innovative system is entirely paperless and cashless, which has significantly alleviated congestion at Sub-Registrar offices.

The Chief Minister also praised the Revenue department's accomplishments, noting that this year, under the Vasundhara Yojana, housing leases have been granted to 16,727 individuals without homes. Over the past year, permanent land leases have been allocated to 20,385 government entities, including various educational institutions. Additionally, a special initiative has led to the surveying of 461,602 land accounts, with the names of 116,486 deceased individuals officially recorded for their legal heirs. Majhi also presented a booklet from the Revenue department that outlines its achievements over the last year, showcasing a commitment to efficient and citizen-focused governance.
