Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2027: New Dates and Format Announced

Upcoming Bharat Mobility Global Expo

The Commerce Ministry has announced that the third edition of the Bharat Mobility Global Expo (BMGE) is scheduled to take place from February 4 to February 9, 2027, in the Delhi NCR region. This marks a shift from the traditional annual format that has been followed in recent years.

The decision to adopt a new schedule appears to provide manufacturers with additional time to develop and present innovative mobility solutions. This announcement follows the previous BMGE event held in January. The 2027 edition is expected to feature not only exhibitions and technical sessions but also stakeholder consultations, with a potential focus on multi-modal mobility and logistics, covering various transport modes including rail, road, air, and water, as well as urban and rural mobility. Additionally, there will be an emphasis on tractors and agricultural mobility solutions.

Highlights From The Previous Expo

The BMGE 2025 was recognized as the second largest auto show globally, drawing nearly one million visitors and hosting over 1,500 exhibitors. The event took place at various locations in Delhi-NCR, including Bharat Mandapam. Major automotive brands such as Honda, Audi, Renault, and Nissan have confirmed their participation in the upcoming expo.

The BMGE is not alone in undergoing transformations; international auto shows like those in Frankfurt, Geneva, and Detroit are also experiencing changes, with many being scaled back, postponed, or restructured as the automotive sector shifts from large-scale exhibitions to more targeted brand events.
