Bharat Foundation Launches Campaign for a Drug-Free Nurpur

Awareness Initiative Kicks Off in Nurpur

The Bharat Foundation is set to initiate a 60-day door-to-door awareness campaign titled “Drug-Free Nurpur, Chitta-Free Nurpur”, commencing on September 20, 2026.

This campaign is designed to educate the community about the dangers of substance abuse, encourage young individuals to avoid drugs, and foster unity among families and communities in combating addiction.

During a press conference, Foundation President Rahul Sharma highlighted that the fight against drug abuse is a shared responsibility that involves the entire society, not just a single entity. He mentioned that campaign teams will visit various villages and homes, with a particular focus on engaging youth and their parents to enhance awareness.

Sharma remarked, ‘Drug-Free Nurpur, Chitta-Free Nurpur’ is more than just a slogan; it represents a commitment to safeguarding our community from the drug crisis. He urged citizens to speak out against addiction and assist in connecting local youth with constructive activities.

Throughout the 60-day period, the Foundation plans to implement ongoing outreach and awareness initiatives to reach as many families in the Nurpur area as possible.

Notable figures present at the press conference included Shubham Pal Singh, Kuldeep Thakur, Advocate Sonu Pundra, and Prem Sharma, among other esteemed guests.
