A startling incident has emerged from Bengaluru, the capital of Karnataka, where a friendship turned into a shocking betrayal. A student allegedly kidnapped a fellow classmate and plotted to demand a ransom.

According to police reports, both the accused and the victim were students at the same institution and were well acquainted. It is alleged that the accused conspired with a few accomplices and lured the victim under false pretenses. Subsequently, they abducted him by forcing him into a car.

Reports indicate that the kidnappers used a fake gun to intimidate the victim, demanding a ransom of ₹50,000. The victim was held captive for several hours during this ordeal.

Upon receiving information about the incident, the police sprang into action and tracked the suspects' location through technical investigations. Acting swiftly, they managed to rescue the victim safely and apprehended four suspects.

The investigation revealed that the accused were drawn into such criminal activities due to their desire for a luxurious lifestyle. The arrested individuals hail from various states, including Bihar, Jharkhand, Kerala, and Karnataka.

Authorities recovered a fake gun, a knife, and the vehicle used in the crime from the suspects. Charges of kidnapping and extortion have been filed against all involved.
