Bengaluru Man Files Complaint Against Wife Over Allegations of Emotional Abuse
Disturbing Allegations in Bengaluru
Bengaluru News: Occasionally, cases arise that deeply disturb the public. A recent incident from Bengaluru has done just that. A man has lodged a complaint against his wife, claiming that she repeatedly sent him explicit videos and coerced him into actions he was uncomfortable with. He has also accused his in-laws of interfering in their married life.
Details of the Case: The complainant, a resident of Nagarbhavi, married 31-year-old Shilpa in a private ceremony in Bengaluru and later moved into a villa in Jakkuru. He alleges that his mother-in-law, Asha, restricted his movements within the house and allegedly encouraged him to leave his wife to find a 'better man' for her. Furthermore, he claims that he was threatened by individuals sent by her.
Spending Time with Wealthy Friends: The man reported experiencing emotional distress, as his wife allegedly mocked his financial situation and expressed dissatisfaction with his ability to support her lifestyle. He claims that she often socialized with her 'wealthy' friends, leading a lifestyle filled with parties and alcohol.
Explicit Videos Sent: He accused her of subjecting him to sexual harassment, sending him explicit videos, and pressuring him to engage in activities against his will. He also stated that she forced him to have intimate relations with one of her friends and insisted on sharing details of their private life with others. Additionally, he mentioned that his wife admitted to having an extramarital affair with her ex-boyfriend.
Previous Attempts to Resolve: The man raised these issues in front of both families, leading to a family mediation session on July 4, 2024. Allegedly, he was evicted from the home on September 24, 2024, while his wife was taken to Chennai by her mother. He was only allowed to take his uniform and laptop, claiming that cash amounting to ₹1.87 lakh, gold and silver jewelry (including a 44-gram choker, a 35-gram chain, an 18-gram bracelet, and an 11-gram ring), passport, educational certificates, and other belongings were withheld.
