His daughters, Emily and Daisy Head, confirmed the news, stating he died peacefully due to pneumonia complications, surrounded by family. They expressed their sorrow, sharing that it was with "heavy hearts" they announced their father's passing. Head's rise to international fame began in the late 1990s with his portrayal of Rupert Giles in Buffy the Vampire Slayer, a role that garnered him a dedicated fanbase worldwide. His career flourished from there, featuring performances as the British Prime Minister in the comedy Little Britain, King Uther Pendragon in BBC's Merlin, and Rupert Mannion, a football club owner in the hit series Ted Lasso.
