At the Money in the Bank 2025 event, Becky Lynch achieved a significant milestone by defeating Lyra Valkyria to secure the WWE Women’s Intercontinental Championship. This victory marks Lynch's first triumph over her former protégé in their ongoing rivalry, which has spanned three matches.

The tension between the two competitors escalated leading up to the event, and as soon as the match began, they both charged at each other. Lynch showcased her aggressive style, initially overpowering Valkyria until the latter managed to regain control with a counter to a Manhandle Slam, executing a spinning neckbreaker.

Lynch attempted to lock Valkyria in an armbar, but Valkyria countered, applying her own submission hold while stepping on Lynch's neck. Lynch managed to escape by reaching the ropes. The action spilled outside the ring, where Valkyria executed a leg drop from the commentary desk onto Lynch, who retaliated with a Manhandle Slam from the second rope shortly after.

As the match neared its conclusion, Lynch delivered a second Manhandle Slam onto the floor, but Valkyria countered with a Nightwing. Both competitors faced a near count-out but dashed back into the ring just in time. Valkyria attempted a roll-up, which Lynch countered, securing the victory by holding onto Valkyria's tights.

Following her victory, Lynch further taunted Valkyria by asking her to raise her hands in celebration. After Valkyria complied, Lynch instructed her to place the championship belt around her waist. However, Valkyria seized the moment to deliver a suplex and another Nightwing, making a bold statement as she exited the ring.
