BCCI Honors Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli Ahead of ODI Against New Zealand

Opting to field first, India witnessed New Zealand score 300 runs for the loss of 8 wickets in their allotted 50 overs. Devon Conway (56) and Henry Nicholls (62) provided a solid foundation for the visitors, while Daryl Mitchell emerged as the top scorer with a brisk 84 runs off 71 deliveries. Contributions from Michael Bracewell (16) and a late flourish by Kristian Clarke (24*) helped secure a competitive total.

India's bowlers maintained pressure with regular breakthroughs. Mohammed Siraj recorded figures of 2/40, while Harshit Rana and Prasidh Krishna both took 2 wickets for 65 and 60 runs, respectively. Kuldeep Yadav added one wicket to the tally, although Ravindra Jadeja and Washington Sundar bowled economically without claiming any wickets.

The timely fall of wickets hindered New Zealand from maximizing their strong partnerships at the top of the order.
