Bangladesh has officially announced its 15-member team for the upcoming ICC Women's T20 World Cup 2026, with Nigar Sultana Joty appointed as the captain. This marks the team's seventh participation in the T20 World Cup, having made their debut in 2014, according to the ICC. The team is scheduled to leave for Edinburgh on May 25 to participate in a tri-series against Scotland and the Netherlands, followed by warm-up matches in Loughborough ahead of the World Cup. Bangladesh will kick off their World Cup journey on June 14 against the Netherlands at Edgbaston.

Earlier this year, Bangladesh secured their place in the ICC Women's T20 World Cup 2026 by excelling in the Global Qualifier, finishing the group and Super Six stages without a loss. The squad is largely similar to the one that competed in the qualifiers, with Nigar Sultana Joty continuing as captain and Nahida Akter as vice-captain.
