Pat Cummins, the captain of the Australian cricket team, conceded that Bangladesh outperformed his squad in every aspect during their nine-wicket loss in the first Test held in Darwin on Sunday.
In his reflections on the match, Cummins noted that Australia's initial day placed them at a disadvantage, and they struggled to form substantial partnerships while batting and lacked breakthroughs with the ball.

"The first day was crucial. I believed our preparation was adequate, and there are no excuses. Bangladesh played exceptionally well. We needed to bat longer, but we couldn't penetrate their batting lineup," Cummins stated during the post-match presentation.

Green's performance showcased his talent; he needed a few of us to support him," Cummins added.
