Babar Azam's Culinary Skills Shine on Eid

On Eid-ul-Fitr, renowned Pakistani cricketer Babar Azam surprised his fans by stepping into the kitchen to prepare sheer khurma, a traditional dessert made with vermicelli. The video, posted on his official Instagram, showcased his involvement in the cooking process, offering a glimpse into his personal life beyond cricket.

The video quickly went viral, with fans responding positively, sending Eid wishes, and praising his cooking skills. Babar referred to the post as his 'sweet Eid signature,' revealing a different facet of his personality.

Babar's Absence from Cricket

Since Pakistan's elimination from the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026 earlier this month, Babar has not participated in professional cricket. National selector Aaqib Javed announced in a press conference that the 31-year-old is currently sidelined due to an injury.

Consequently, he was not selected for the upcoming three-match ODI series against Bangladesh and also missed the National T20 Cup 2026. There has been no official update from either the selection committee or Babar regarding his recovery.

Anticipation for PSL 11

Despite the ongoing uncertainty about his fitness, Babar is expected to captain Peshawar Zalmi in the forthcoming Pakistan Super League (PSL) 11, which is set to take place from March 26 to May 3. Fans are eagerly looking forward to his return to the domestic cricket scene.
