Launch of Ayushman Bharat Registration Vans

On Sunday, Union Minister for Health and Family Welfare, JP Nadda, along with Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta, inaugurated Ayushman Bharat registration vans at Vigyan Bhavan in New Delhi.

During the event, Nadda criticized the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) for failing to utilize the allocated Rs 1700 crore from the Ayushman Bharat Scheme for the benefit of the public.

He stated, “Between 2021 and February 2025, we allocated Rs 1700 crore to Delhi under the PM-Ayushman Bharat Health Infrastructure Mission, yet not a single rupee has been spent. Now, the responsibility for utilizing these funds for public welfare rests with (Delhi CM) Rekha ji.”

Continuing his critique of AAP, he remarked, “We were prepared to provide water to Delhi, but you kept the vessel upside down. On February 20, you finally turned it upright, allowing for Ayushman Bharat. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has been ready to offer Rs 5 lakh for the healthcare of the poor since September 2, 2017, but their arrogance hindered progress, causing injustice to the underprivileged.” Nadda praised the Ayushman Arogya Mandir initiative while labeling AAP's Mohalla Clinics as shortsighted.

“A wise individual looks ahead and considers Ayushman Arogya Mandir, while shortsighted ones focus on Mohalla Clinics. From conception to the age of two, Ayushman Arogya Mandir ensures all vaccinations are covered. India is taking a leading role in reproductive and child healthcare,” Nadda emphasized.

Last month, on June 17, Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta, along with Ministers Parvesh Verma and Manjinder Singh Sirsa, inaugurated Ayushman Arogya Mandirs in the capital. Following the inauguration, Sirsa announced that 33 Ayushman Aarogya Mandirs were launched, equipped with excellent infrastructure and facilities.

“Today, we inaugurated a total of 33 Arogya Mandirs, all featuring outstanding infrastructure,” stated Manjinder Singh Sirsa. Additionally, on May 18, in a significant enhancement to healthcare under the Pradhan Mantri Vay Vandana Yojana, Delhi Minister Ashish Sood distributed Ayushman Bharat cards to senior citizens aged 70 and above in Janakpuri, West Delhi.
