Ayurvedic Medical Camp Brings Healthcare to Rural Residents of Mandi
Healthcare Access Improved for Patari Ghat Residents
Residents of Patari Ghat, located approximately 31 kilometers from Mandi town, often face challenges in accessing specialized healthcare services. However, on Thursday, the Rotary Club Chhoti Kashi Mandi, in partnership with the Ayush Department from Sarkaghat, organized an Ayurvedic Multi-Speciality Medical Camp right in the village, making healthcare more accessible.
The camp successfully catered to the medical needs of 157 individuals, allowing many to consult with specialist doctors without the burden of traveling to larger healthcare facilities.
In addition to consultations, attendees received essential tests for blood sugar and hemoglobin levels, enabling healthcare professionals to identify prevalent health issues and provide appropriate guidance for further care. The camp also emphasized the significance of yoga and simple lifestyle practices that can enhance both physical and mental health.
For those in need, the Rotary Club Chhoti Kashi Mandi ensured that financial barriers did not hinder access to necessary medications, providing them free of charge.
This initiative highlighted the vital role of community involvement in delivering healthcare services to rural populations. Local panchayat representatives were instrumental in organizing the camp and encouraging residents to participate.
Akhilesh Bharti, President of the Rotary Club Chhoti Kashi Mandi, stated that the goal was to deliver quality healthcare and expert medical advice to those in rural settings.
He remarked, “Healthcare should not be limited to urban areas. We aim to extend medical services to individuals who may struggle to travel for specialized consultations,” and assured that the club would continue similar healthcare and community service initiatives.
The project was led by Rotarian Dr. Hemlata, who coordinated the medical outreach with the Ayush Department, local leaders, and community members.
The Rotary Club expressed its appreciation to the Ayush doctors and staff, panchayat representatives, and everyone who contributed to the camp's success.
