Investigation Update on Ram Temple Donations


Ayodhya: The Special Investigation Team (SIT) looking into the alleged misappropriation of donations at the Ram Temple has exonerated Champat Rai, the former general secretary of the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust, along with ex-Trust member Anil Mishra. Both individuals resigned from their roles on June 27 after accusations surfaced regarding the mishandling of temple funds. They were later interrogated by the SIT as part of the inquiry into the donation management at the temple.


Sources indicate that the Uttar Pradesh Home Department submitted the SIT's conclusive report regarding the donation theft allegations to the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust for necessary actions. During his questioning, Rai firmly denied any wrongdoing related to the alleged irregularities. He reportedly informed investigators that he had filed a complaint concerning the suspected theft, which led to the arrest of the accused individuals.
