Avalanche Disrupts Traffic on Udaipur-Killar Road in Himachal Pradesh
Traffic Standstill Due to Avalanche
Late on Wednesday night, traffic on the Udaipur-Killar route in the Lahaul-Spiti district of Himachal Pradesh was halted after an avalanche hit near Daread Nala, isolating the valley from the surrounding areas.
More than a dozen vehicles, including two buses from the Himachal Road Transport Corporation (HRTC), became stranded on both sides of the blocked road.
In response to the situation, teams from the Border Roads Organisation (BRO) were deployed along with machinery to clear the snow and restore access.
