He referenced the recent Indian Premier League (IPL) victory of Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB), highlighting the exceptional performance of Virat Kohli, who played a crucial role in the match. Marles also acknowledged the contributions of Australian players Josh Hazlewood and Tim David, noting that their achievements symbolize the collaborative spirit between the two nations. He remarked, "Last year, I was here the morning after the IPL final, and once again, we witnessed RCB's victory.
