Attempted Arson at RSS Office in Ranchi Raises Security Concerns

On Wednesday morning, two unidentified individuals attempted to damage the RSS office in Ranchi by throwing petrol bombs into its premises. According to police reports, the assailants tried to hurl bottles filled with petrol late Tuesday night. However, both bottles fell short of the boundary wall and did not cause any damage to the office. BJP leader Babulal Marandi expressed that the incident of petrol bombs being thrown at the RSS office in Nivaranpur is extremely serious and alarming.

Marandi stated that he has instructed the Ranchi SP, DC, and DGP to quickly identify and apprehend those responsible. Additionally, he has directed the establishment of a permanent police post near the RSS office to enhance security measures. He emphasized that an attack on an ideological organization like the RSS poses a significant challenge to law and order. A thorough and impartial investigation into the motives behind this incident is essential, and such acts cannot be tolerated under any circumstances.
Police Investigation Underway
Meanwhile, Ranchi police have initiated a search for the attackers. City SP Paras Rana confirmed that an investigation is underway, and efforts to identify the perpetrators have begun. Initial information suggests that two young men were involved in the incident. Multiple teams, including a Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) unit, have been deployed for the investigation. The SP mentioned that CCTV footage has captured the two assailants attempting to throw petrol bombs at the RSS office.
Details of the Attack
According to the City SP, when the first bottle was thrown, the burning wick fell to the ground, rendering the petrol bomb ineffective. A second petrol bomb was thrown but also failed to reach the office building. Investigations revealed that chili sauce bottles were used as makeshift containers for the petrol bombs.
