Attack on Storyteller in Delhi Raises Concerns Over Safety

In Mathura, Uttar Pradesh, a serious incident involving storyteller Abhinav Arora occurred in Delhi. Crowd Assaults Vehicle

A video of the attack, shared by Abhinav on his Instagram, has gone viral on social media. The footage clearly shows the crowd attacking the car with sticks and breaking the windows. Family members inside the vehicle can be heard screaming in fear. The situation escalated when a woman inside screamed as the front window was shattered.

Injuries Reported

Abhinav's father, Tarun Raj Arora, reported that he was physically assaulted during the incident, resulting in injuries. He mentioned that the attackers claimed a child had been hurt by their car, which sparked the altercation that quickly turned violent.

Police Response

Upon receiving news of the incident, the Delhi police arrived promptly and registered a case of road rage. Based on initial investigations, three individuals were taken into custody. The police have since sent two of the suspects to Tihar Jail and are reviewing nearby CCTV footage to gather more information about the incident.

No Serious Injuries to Child

According to Tarun Raj Arora, the police took him and the injured child to a hospital, where doctors confirmed that the child had not sustained any serious injuries. Meanwhile, Tarun received medical treatment for his injuries from the assault.

In his post, Abhinav also clarified that linking this incident to any religion or community is misguided. He emphasized his deep respect for Sikhism and stated that the event was the result of the actions of a few individuals, not reflective of an entire community's mindset.
