Official Directive for Departure

Guwahati: The administration in Nagaon district, Assam, has issued an order for 15 individuals, identified as foreigners by a tribunal, to exit both the state and the country by Friday.

This group, which includes six women, has been determined to have entered India illegally from Bangladesh, as per the ruling of a Foreigner's Tribunal.

On December 17, District Commissioner Devashish Sarma instructed these individuals to vacate the country within 24 hours of receiving the official notice, which was delivered to them on Thursday.

The directive specified that these individuals must 'leave the territory of Assam, India, within 24 hours of receiving the order via the Dhubri/Sribhumi/South Salmara-Mankachar route.'

Failure to comply with this order would result in the government taking necessary measures to ensure their removal from Assam, the order stated.
