GUWAHATI, July 6: On Sunday, the Assam Public Service Commission successfully organized the Combined Competitive (Preliminary) Examination for the year 2025 at 74 locations spread across 35 districts in Assam.
This examination was conducted for 78 available positions, attracting a total of 41,695 applicants, which included 23,218 males, 18,473 females, and four transgender individuals, along with 278 candidates with disabilities.
The examination encompasses 11 different services, which include 45 positions for the Assam Civil Service, 6 for the Assam Police Service, 3 for the District Transport Officer, 1 for the Superintendent of Excise, 2 for the Assistant Registrar of Cooperative Societies, 2 for the Assam Urban Administrative Service, 5 for the Inspector of Labour, 8 for the Assistant Employment Officer, 4 for the Sub Registrar, 1 for the Research Assistant, and 1 for the Inspector of Excise.
The Commission expressed gratitude for the seamless execution of the examination, attributing it to the dedicated support from district and police administrations, the Health Department, Postal Department, Municipal Corporations, APDCL, and the educators from various institutions.
Notably, this year marked the introduction of question papers in Assamese alongside English. Additionally, candidates were provided with OMR sheets that included a carbon copy for their records.
The provisional answer key was made available on the same day as the examination, ensuring prompt feedback for the candidates.
