To enhance the popularity of sports in Assam, the state's Cabinet, led by Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, has decided to waive the settlement premium for land designated for the Lovlina Boxing Academy. This decision is part of a broader 76-point resolution that expresses the state government's appreciation for Prime Minister Narendra Modi's 25 years of dedicated public service, first as Gujarat's Chief Minister and later as India's Prime Minister.
Details of the Land Premium Waiver
The waiver acknowledges the significant contributions of Lovlina, an Olympic medalist and prominent boxer, to Indian sports. The land in question spans over 3 bighas located in Hudumpur village, within the Chayani Mouza of the Palashbari Revenue Circle. The Cabinet also recognized the transformative changes across various sectors, including infrastructure, connectivity, industry, peace and security, and social development, as well as efforts to preserve and promote the region's cultural heritage. The resolution reflects the Cabinet's unanimous gratitude towards the Prime Minister for his unwavering commitment to the welfare of the populace and the nation's advancement.
