Speaking to reporters after offering prayers at the birthplace of Srimanta Sankardev in Batadrava, Nagaon district on May 15, he stated that the government would accelerate development in the coming years. Sarma revealed that the 2026 election manifesto would include broader promises compared to the previous one, reflecting the changing circumstances post-COVID-19 pandemic. He noted that when he presented the manifesto in 2021, the pandemic was a significant challenge, limiting their commitments.
