The Chief Minister of Assam, Himanta Biswa Sarma, announced that law enforcement has identified 21 illegal immigrants and initiated appropriate measures against them. However, he did not disclose the specific actions taken or the locations where these individuals were apprehended. In a recent post on the social media platform 'X', he referenced the espionage-themed Hindi film 'Dhurandhar', stating, 'Not everyone is a Dhurandhar, especially in Assam.'
He further elaborated, 'These 21 illegal immigrants attempted to reside unlawfully in Assam, but the true experts in this game, the Assam police, swiftly recognized them and commenced necessary actions to neutralize the threats they posed.'
Recently, the state government revealed in the assembly that over the past decade, approximately 2,100 illegal foreigners have been deported, expelled, or sent back to their countries from Assam.
