Honoring a Great Philosopher

On the death anniversary of the philosopher and thinker Swami Vivekananda, Assam's Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma paid his respects on Friday, emphasizing that his teachings continue to resonate in the hearts of every Indian.


In a post on 'X', Sarma stated, “The teachings of Swamiji still echo in the hearts of all Indians, inspiring a sense of a strong nation led by spiritually awakened youth.”


The Chief Minister expressed, “I bow to one of India's greatest saints.” Swami Vivekananda, a prominent spiritual leader, philosopher, and thinker, was born on January 12, 1863, in Kolkata and passed away on July 4, 1902. He is particularly remembered for his unforgettable address at the World Parliament of Religions held in Chicago in 1893, where he presented India's culture and traditions with a powerful image to the world.
