Recent Arrests in Assam

On Friday, Himanta Biswa Sarma, the Chief Minister of Assam, announced the arrest of four additional individuals suspected of involvement in anti-national activities within the state.


These arrests were made as part of an ongoing campaign against elements deemed harmful to the nation. However, specific details regarding the charges or the nature of their alleged crimes were not disclosed.


In a post on the social media platform X, the Chief Minister identified the arrested individuals as Rosidul Ali from Tamulpur, Imdadur Rahman from Lakhimpur, Abdul Samad from Hojai, and Sahadat Ali from Dhubri.


Since the terrorist attack in Pahalgam on April 22, law enforcement has apprehended a total of 64 individuals in connection with various activities across the state.
