Gehlot's Call for Action

Senior Congress leader Ashok Gehlot has expressed deep concern regarding the recent violence in neighboring Bangladesh, particularly targeting the Hindu community. He has urged the central government to take action on this pressing issue.

The former Chief Minister of Rajasthan took to social media platform X to state, "The resurgence of violence in Bangladesh and the targeting of Hindu minorities is extremely alarming and condemnable."

Gehlot further remarked, "It is surprising that the Indian government has remained a silent observer on such a sensitive matter for an extended period. This silence from the center is only encouraging anti-India forces in the region."

He appealed to the central government to abandon its 'wait and watch' approach and to intervene diplomatically to ensure the safety of minorities residing there.

It is important to note that following the death of Sharif Osman Hadi, one of the key leaders of last year's uprising in July, protests and violent incidents have erupted in various parts of Bangladesh, leading to widespread tension across the country.
