Gehlot's Accusations Against BJP Government

Former Chief Minister of Rajasthan, Ashok Gehlot, has directed criticism towards the state's Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) government over alleged delays in medical treatment for a young girl. He accused the government of undermining public welfare initiatives.

Sharing details of the incident on social media, Gehlot stated, 'The true face of the BJP government, which speaks grandly about 'national unity' and 'One India, Great India,' has been revealed through the incident at SMS Hospital in Jaipur.'

He further elaborated, 'A girl from Madhya Pradesh, who suffered burns from an electric shock, was denied timely treatment at SMS Hospital simply because she did not possess an Ayushman card. This is the height of inhumanity. Will the state be considered even in times of medical need?'

Gehlot emphasized that the Congress government had implemented the Chiranjeevi Life Saving Scheme to ensure that individuals injured in any accident, regardless of their state of residence, could receive emergency treatment free of charge for up to 72 hours without needing any card or payment.

He pointed out that the previous Congress administration firmly believed that during the 'Golden Hour,' a doctor's priority should be to save lives rather than check paperwork. It is deeply unfortunate that the current BJP government has weakened these public welfare schemes, making the state's healthcare system reliant on cards and conditions once again.

According to the Congress leader, the state government should take immediate action regarding this incident and ensure that no one’s treatment is halted due to a lack of paperwork in emergencies, with the primary goal being to save lives.
