Gehlot Confirms Congress Solidarity

On Friday, Ashok Gehlot, the former Chief Minister of Rajasthan, emphasized that there is no discontent among Congress leaders in the state, asserting that they are united. He expressed confidence that the Congress party will form the next government in Rajasthan. Former minister Mahendrajeet Singh Malviya met with Gehlot at his residence on Thursday to discuss issues concerning the tribal community.

When questioned about potential negative signals from this meeting, Gehlot reassured reporters, stating, 'There are no negative signals. The tribal workers came to meet.' Addressing reports of discontent hinted at by the state party president, Govind Singh Dotasra, Gehlot reiterated, 'We are all united. We will form the next government in the state.'

He added, 'Neither the president (Dotasra) nor I have any grievances.' Gehlot further stated, 'The Congress party is united. I keep saying that the country needs Congress. Under the leadership of Rahul Gandhi and Mallikarjun Kharge, we stand together.'

Targeting the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Gehlot accused the government of rampant corruption in the state. He also criticized the deteriorating conditions of education and healthcare services, stating, 'We want to improve the situation for the benefit of the people, as poor governance will hinder their progress.'
