Asaduddin Owaisi Urges Government to Support Kashmiris Amidst Tensions with Pakistan
A Call for Support to Kashmiris
On Saturday, Asaduddin Owaisi, the Chief of AIMIM and MP from Hyderabad, encouraged Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah to take this moment as a chance to 'embrace Kashmiris' while the government addresses issues with Pakistan regarding its role in supporting terrorism.
Owaisi emphasized that this is a pivotal moment for the administration, urging the leaders to seize the opportunity effectively. He stated, 'While confronting Pakistan is essential, it is equally important to support the people of Kashmir.'
When asked to elaborate on what he meant by 'embracing Kashmiris,' Owaisi clarified that it involves ensuring that Kashmiris receive their rightful entitlements and that students from Kashmir are not discriminated against in other regions of India.
In response to being appointed to a delegation aimed at showcasing India's ongoing battle against cross-border terrorism and the initiative known as Operation Sindoor, Owaisi remarked, 'This task transcends party lines... We will convene for a comprehensive discussion before our departure. This is a significant responsibility, and I will strive to execute it effectively.'
