Arvind Kejriwal to Address Major Rally at Jantar Mantar Amid Legal Relief
Kejriwal's Significant Rally at Jantar Mantar
On Sunday, March 1, 2026, Arvind Kejriwal, the national convenor of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), is set to speak at a large public gathering at the historic Jantar Mantar in Delhi. This event marks his first public appearance following a favorable court ruling regarding the excise policy case, making it crucial for the party's future and upcoming electoral strategies.
On Saturday, AAP claimed that the police had initially denied permission for the rally. However, during a late-night press conference, Saurabh Bhardwaj, the president of AAP's Delhi unit, announced that the police had granted permission, confirming that the event would proceed as planned. Bhardwaj stated, "Arvind Kejriwal will address the gathering at Jantar Mantar along with the entire party leadership."
Earlier today, the Delhi police reiterated that the rally could not take place. Following this, AAP leaders engaged in discussions with senior police officials. They confirmed that Kejriwal would indeed address the public at Jantar Mantar as scheduled.
In anticipation of a large turnout at Jantar Mantar, the Delhi police have implemented extensive security measures. Traffic diversions may also be enforced on surrounding roads.
