Kejriwal Joins Forces with Activist at Jantar Mantar

New Delhi: On Thursday, Arvind Kejriwal, the national convenor of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), showed his support for climate activist Sonam Wangchuk during a protest at Jantar Mantar. The demonstration focused on the ongoing issue of examination paper leaks, with calls for the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan.

While addressing the crowd, Kejriwal emphasized the need for the government to heed the voices of the youth and students, highlighting the importance of Wangchuk's concerns regarding the repeated leaks of exam papers.

"Every year, students suffer due to these leaks. I urge the government to pay attention to the voices of students and Wangchuk," stated the former Chief Minister of Delhi.

Kejriwal called for the resignation of Dharmendra Pradhan and proposed that Wangchuk should be appointed as the new education minister.

Reflecting on his past, Kejriwal recalled a significant moment from April 4, 2011, when he participated in an anti-corruption movement alongside Anna Hazare at the same location. He noted that the government at that time lost power due to its failure to listen to the public and its arrogance.

He praised the youth from across the nation for uniting to demand necessary reforms in the examination system, commending their efforts for advocating a fair and transparent educational framework.

Kejriwal lauded Wangchuk for his selfless activism, stating that he fights not just for himself but for the future of students and children throughout the country.

In light of Wangchuk's ongoing hunger strike, Kejriwal expressed admiration for his commitment to the cause, acknowledging the sacrifices made by all participants in the movement, including those who have faced adversity.
