Kejriwal's Commitment to a Drug-Free Punjab
During the launch, Kejriwal emphasized the ongoing war against drugs in Punjab, stating that significant progress has been made in making villages drug-free. He urged the people of Punjab to take responsibility for the campaign, advising them not to bail out any drug traffickers. Instead, he encouraged them to bring those suffering from addiction to government rehabilitation centers, where they will receive support. The government has upgraded all rehabilitation facilities and is establishing sports grounds in all 13,000 villages, along with gyms in 3,000 locations.
Bhagwant Mann's Call for Collective Action
Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann echoed the need for a collective movement to eliminate drug abuse, stating that when Punjabis unite against a vice, they succeed in eradicating it. He expressed a vision of restoring Punjab as a vibrant state known for sports and military recruitment. Mann highlighted the recent academic achievements of girls in the 12th-grade results, noting that they secured the top three positions. He also mentioned the government's initiative to provide transportation for 10,000 children to and from school, equipped with GPS systems for parental tracking.
