He stated that the party is poised to break its own records, driven by a wave of support from the public. During his visit to the state, Kejriwal spoke to the media, attributing the positive sentiment among the populace to the developmental initiatives undertaken by the government led by Bhagwant Mann.

According to an official notification issued under Section 35 of the Punjab State Election Commission Act, 1994, a detailed timeline for filing nominations, voting, and counting has been established. The nomination process will commence on May 13, 2026, and continue until May 16, with scrutiny of nominations on May 18 and the last date for withdrawal set for May 19. If necessary, voting will take place on May 26, followed by counting on May 29, aiming for the entire electoral process to be completed by June 1, 2026.
