Itanagar, Dec 21: Chowna Mein, the Deputy Chief Minister of Arunachal Pradesh, has underscored the state's significant potential for eco- and adventure tourism following an exciting river-rafting journey on the Dibang River in Dambuk, located in the Lower Dibang Valley district. He was accompanied by former chief minister Mukut Mithi during this thrilling expedition.
Mein took to social media to share his exhilarating experience, describing the rafting on the Dibang as a blend of 'raw power, untouched forests, and pure adventure.'
He noted that the river embodies the wild spirit and vast eco-tourism opportunities of Arunachal Pradesh, asserting that its exciting rapids and stunning landscapes position the Dibang as one of the top adventure spots in the area.
Reflecting on the journey with Mithi, Mein stated that navigating the river's dramatic scenery was 'truly unforgettable' and encouraged others to come and experience the adventure for themselves.
“Adventure awaits in Arunachal. When visiting Dambuk, one must not miss the thrill and natural beauty of the mighty Dibang River, best enjoyed through an exciting river-rafting experience,” he remarked.
Highlighting the broader vision for promoting adventure tourism, the Deputy Chief Minister emphasized the government's dedication to fostering responsible adventure activities that create sustainable livelihoods for local communities while also protecting Arunachal Pradesh's rich natural heritage.
