Arunachal Pradesh Launches Self-Enumeration for Census 2027
Census 2027 Self-Enumeration Begins
Itanagar, April 15: The self-enumeration phase for Census 2027 is set to commence in Arunachal Pradesh on Thursday.
Chafikhur Rahman, the assistant director (Training) of the Arunachal Pradesh Directorate of Census Operations, announced that this significant initiative will run until April 30, enabling residents to submit their household information through self-enumeration.
Rahman emphasized that self-enumeration is a straightforward and user-friendly method for individuals and families to share their data via official channels.
He highlighted the importance of this process in ensuring accurate and timely data collection, urging all residents to engage actively and provide precise information regarding their households, living conditions, and essential amenities.
Following the self-enumeration period, the Houselisting and Housing Census (HLO) operations will commence on May 1 and continue until May 30.
During this phase, trained census enumerators will visit homes throughout the state to gather data directly.
These visits are crucial for verifying and completing the information collected, Rahman noted.
He encouraged citizens to fully cooperate with the census enumerators during their visits.
Residents are urged to provide accurate and truthful information, as the data gathered is vital for planning and development initiatives.
Rahman explained that the census helps the government understand demographic trends, housing conditions, and access to fundamental services like water, electricity, and sanitation.
This census represents one of the largest administrative undertakings in the nation and is essential for effective policy-making and governance.
He assured that all personal data collected will remain confidential and utilized solely for statistical analysis.
Strict protocols are established to safeguard data privacy and security.
Residents are advised to prepare necessary information, including family member details, housing type, and available facilities, to facilitate a smooth and efficient process.
They are also encouraged to verify the identity of enumerators during their visits for added safety.
The Arunachal Pradesh government has called upon all residents to view this exercise as a civic duty and to participate actively, as public cooperation is crucial for the success of Census 2027.
