Itanagar, August 2 - The police in East Siang district of Arunachal Pradesh have initiated the Muskaan 2.0 campaign aimed at enhancing child safety measures and expanding its reach across the state. This initiative follows the success of their primary program focused on child protection.

Home Minister Mama Natung praised this initiative, highlighting that the first phase serves as an excellent example of what can be achieved when institutions and communities collaborate effectively.

Impact on Schools and Students

Natung explained that under the leadership of the East Siang unit of Arunachal Pradesh Police, the campaign has reached approximately 16,897 students across 104 schools. The program aims to raise awareness among children and empower them to ensure their own safety. He also acknowledged the contributions of actress Chum Darang, the brand ambassador for child safety, in advancing this crucial mission.

The primary goal of Muskaan 2.0 is to directly engage parents and teachers in the initiative, thereby strengthening the commitment to child safety. Natung urged everyone to work together for a safer and brighter future for children. The campaign includes measures such as installing complaint boxes in schools, ensuring prompt resolution of issues, and providing specialized training to police officers to enhance their sensitivity towards children.
