Arrest Made in Muzaffarnagar After Alleged Assault on Minor

In the town of Budhana, Muzaffarnagar district, a young man has been accused of sexually assaulting a seven-year-old girl, as reported by local police on Saturday.

According to authorities, the suspect was apprehended following a shootout in which he sustained injuries.

Details of the Case

Gajendra Pal Singh, the Circle Officer, informed reporters that a 35-year-old man named Raju lured the young girl away and committed the alleged crime.

The police have registered a case against him based on the complaint from the victim's family, invoking relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act.

The victim has been sent for a medical examination, and it was noted that Raju attempted to flee.

Arrest and Confession

Raju was captured after a confrontation with law enforcement, during which he was shot and subsequently taken to the local community health center for treatment.

The Circle Officer confirmed that Raju has admitted to his crime, and further legal proceedings are underway.
