According to DGP I Nongrang, four individuals, including Sonam, have been arrested in connection with Raja's murder. Allegations suggest that Sonam was involved in the crime during their honeymoon, having hired individuals to carry out the act.
Raja and Sonam were wed on May 11 and began their honeymoon on May 20. They were last seen together on May 23, with the family having their final conversation with them that afternoon. Their phones were turned off later that evening. Tragically, Raja's body was discovered on June 2 in a gorge near Cherrapunji, while Sonam remained unaccounted for.
