Tragic Incident on the Train
Late Sunday night, a soldier was tragically killed aboard the Jammu-Tawi Express (Sabarmati Express) while it was en route to Bikaner, Rajasthan. Reports indicate that a dispute arose between the soldier and the coach attendants, leading to a violent confrontation where one attendant attacked the soldier with a knife, resulting in severe injuries that ultimately led to his death.
Details of the Incident
The soldier, identified as Jigar Kumar from Gujarat, was traveling from Firozabad to Jammu-Tawi. During the altercation with the coach attendants, he was stabbed. This incident occurred between Lunkaransar and Bikaner while the train was in motion. Despite being rushed to the PBM Trauma Center, he succumbed to his injuries before receiving medical attention.
Investigation Underway
According to GRP CI Anand Gila, the incident took place on the night of the second, shortly after the train departed from Lunkaran railway station around 11 PM. The soldier, Jigar Kumar, was involved in a dispute with the attendants, which escalated to the stabbing. One attendant has been detained for questioning as the investigation continues.
