Imphal: Authorities have apprehended two individuals and confiscated firearms and ammunition in distinct incidents within the Imphal East district of Manipur, as reported by local police on Saturday.
The first suspect, Thoudam Ranjan Singh, aged 41, was taken into custody at his home in Leimakhong Mapal Mamang Leikai on Thursday, where police recovered nine 9mm cartridges.
In a separate operation, security personnel arrested 35-year-old Karam Mani Meitei at his residence in Thongju Part-II, Pichu Lampak Ningombam Leirak on Friday, seizing a 9mm pistol along with a magazine.
