Inauguration of the Budha Amarnath Yatra
The Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir, Manoj Sinha, participated in the opening session of the annual Budha Amarnath Yatra on Sunday, extending a warm welcome to the pilgrims.
The 10-day pilgrimage to the Budha Amarnath temple, located in the border district of Poonch, will officially commence on Monday morning, with the Lieutenant Governor flagging off the journey from the Bhagwati Nagar base camp in Jammu.
During his address at the inauguration, the Lieutenant Governor congratulated and wished well to the devotees, the Baba Amarnath and Budha Amarnath Yatra Trust, as well as the Vishva Hindu Parishad, Bajrang Dal, and other stakeholders involved in the preparations and management of the yatra.
