Anna Hazare's Perspective on Judicial Strength

Social activist Anna Hazare emphasized the importance of respecting the court's decision to acquit former Delhi Chief Minister and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Arvind Kejriwal in the excise policy case. He remarked that the nation operates smoothly due to the robustness of its judiciary. Hazare stated that India relies on the strength of its judicial and security systems. Despite being a vast country with diverse parties, castes, religions, and communities, it functions effectively thanks to the judiciary.

Without this judicial framework, chaos and unrest would prevail. With the court's ruling affirming that Arvind Kejriwal committed no wrongdoing, it is essential to accept this verdict.


The court has acquitted Arvind Kejriwal, Manish Sisodia, and 21 others in the politically sensitive excise policy case, noting that the CBI failed to establish any significant conspiracy or criminal intent behind the policy. Among those acquitted was K Kavitha, the president of Telangana Jagruthi, who also received relief.
