Enforcement Directorate Takes Action Against Anil Ambani

In a significant move, the Enforcement Directorate has seized the Mumbai residence of Anil Ambani, the chairman of Reliance Group, valued at approximately ₹3,716 crore. This action was taken under the provisions of the anti-money laundering legislation, as reported by official sources on Wednesday.

The opulent property, known as 'Abode', stands 66 meters tall and comprises 17 floors, situated in the upscale Pali Hill neighborhood of Mumbai.

A provisional order has been issued under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA) to attach this multi-storey building, which is part of an investigation into alleged bank fraud involving Reliance Communications (RCOM), a company under Ambani's group.

According to sources, the estimated value of the seized asset is ₹3,716.83 crore.

Anil Ambani, aged 66, is anticipated to appear before the federal investigative agency for a second round of questioning. He initially provided his testimony to the ED in August 2025, where his statement was recorded in accordance with the PMLA.

With this latest seizure, the cumulative value of assets attached in this case has reached around ₹15,700 crore.
