New Delhi: On Thursday, Anil Ambani, the chairman of Reliance Group, arrived at the Enforcement Directorate (ED) for a second session of questioning related to a money laundering case tied to alleged bank fraud.

The 66-year-old entered the ED's office in central Delhi at approximately 10:30 AM.

Agency officials indicated that his statement would be documented in accordance with the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA). This marks his second round of questioning, with the first occurring in August 2025.

The investigation focuses on a purported bank fraud exceeding Rs 40,000 crore involving Reliance Communications (RCOM), a company under his group.

Ambani and several of his affiliated companies are under scrutiny for loan fraud, prompting the ED to establish a special investigation team (SIT) to delve into these allegations, following recent directives from the Supreme Court.

Additionally, the ED has seized Ambani's residence in Mumbai, known as 'Abode', valued at Rs 3,716 crore, under anti-money laundering regulations.

As per the information provided to the Supreme Court, the ED has initiated three money laundering cases against the Anil Dhirubhai Ambani Group (ADAG) to explore claims of bank loan fraud and various financial discrepancies.
