KKR's Practice Session at Eden Gardens

During a practice session at the historic Eden Gardens in Kolkata, Angkrish Raghuvanshi, the wicketkeeper-batter for Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), engaged with a fan. This interaction took place just before KKR's IPL 2026 match against the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) on Thursday.

The three-time IPL champions faced a nail-biting three-wicket loss to LSG, marking their third consecutive defeat of the season and extending their winless streak to four matches, which includes a rain-abandoned game against the Punjab Kings. KKR set a target of 181 runs, but LSG managed to clinch victory in a thrilling last-over finish.

KKR's Current Standing

With three losses and one no-result, KKR finds itself at the bottom of the points table, accumulating just one point and holding a net run rate (NRR) of -1.315, indicating a challenging start to their season.

Raghuvanshi's Funny Moment with a Fan

Following KKR's defeat to LSG, a humorous video featuring Angkrish Raghuvanshi circulated on social media, particularly on X (formerly Twitter). In the clip, Raghuvanshi was seen returning to the dressing room after practice when a fan requested his cap as a keepsake. With a smile, he humorously replied that he only had 'one cap,' which elicited laughter from those nearby.

"Bro, I only get one cap. It’s not like I can just produce caps out of nowhere. I swear on my mother, I’ve only got one cap," Raghuvanshi stated.

Fan Interaction and Autographs

Despite the cap request, Raghuvanshi took the time to sign autographs and take selfies with fans before heading back, ending the light-hearted exchange on a positive note.

Such interactions are common during practice sessions, allowing fans to connect with players outside of match days.

Raghuvanshi's Performance in IPL 2026

Angkrish Raghuvanshi has emerged as a key player for KKR in IPL 2026. He began his season with a solid 51 runs against the Mumbai Indians at Wankhede Stadium, although KKR lost that match by six wickets.

He followed this with another impressive performance, scoring 52 runs off 29 balls against Sunrisers Hyderabad, but KKR fell short in their chase of 226 runs, getting bowled out for 161.

In the rain-affected match against Punjab Kings, Raghuvanshi was not out on 7 runs when the game was called off. In the recent match against LSG, he contributed 45 runs off 33 balls, helping KKR set a total of 181/4, but they ultimately lost in a close finish.

So far in IPL 2026, Raghuvanshi has scored a total of 155 runs, including two fifties, with an average of 51.66 and a strike rate of 158.16 across four matches. He is set to return to action against the Chennai Super Kings as KKR seeks its first victory of the season.
