In previous hearings, the defense team vigorously challenged the investigation's conduct. They highlighted that the three individuals were initially called as witnesses but were subsequently arrested and held for an extended duration without adequate legal justification.
The lawyers also raised concerns regarding the delay in filing FIRs related to alleged witness intimidation. They pointed out that while claims were made by the SIT and CBI in March and April, formal FIRs were only registered in June, indicating procedural errors and irregularities in the investigation.
